In Part 1 , we looked at the components of sexual readiness. The following are common reasons why people choose to have sex. Some are specific to young people, while others may be found at all age levels. For one, there are many ways to experience physical pleasure that do not involve having sex. What is maturity? Teens love too
Im 13 and I know im young but I know the dangers to having sex as a teen. But, there are ways to get around those problems. For example, condoms are used to prevent pregnancy or any diseases. Which is what we all need to see here. You know, I look at amazingly gorgeous girls in my school. Same with girls, you look at guys your type because its human nature!!! So yes I think its safe to say that teens can have sex. You don't have to be an adult to experience love, or in other words, sex. We are all in this little thing I like to call "life" and in life, sex happens. Might as well get your granny panties out of a bunch and stop making teens see sex as a bad thing.
Are You Ready for Sex?
Like most parents, I try to avoid thinking about my kids having sex. Talking openly about sex is one thing. But dealing with my kids actually having sex is another thing entirely. In practice, when I began to suspect that one of my teens was having sex, it was tempting to forbid him from spending time alone with his girlfriend. As their friends become sexually active, my kids had questions. Sometimes, those questions were about working through their own feelings about sex, but other times they were far more logistical in nature: Where could their friends get free birth control? What type of birth control was the most effective? And when all else failed, where could they go for an abortion? More than once, they even brought their friends to me to talk about their relationships and birth control options. It was only when my teens came to me to talk about their concerns about one of their siblings having sex that I realized how many things I still had left to say.
Before you decide to have sex or if you are already having sex, you need to know how to stay healthy. Even if you think you know everything you need to know about sex, take a few minutes and read on. Your doctor wants to make sure you know the facts. Sex can change your life and relationships. Having sex may affect the way you feel about yourself or how others feel about you. Many teens believe waiting until they are ready to have sex is important. The right time is different for each teen. For example, some teens may want to wait until they are older adults ; other teens may want to wait until they feel their relationship is ready.
